Mark E. Mathieson, M.D. is double board certified in both general surgery and plastic surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He has been in private practice at Sterling Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons since 2002.

Dr. Mathieson earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton before attending medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. After earning his M.D. in 1990, he completed a general surgery residency at SUNY-Buffalo followed by a plastic surgery fellowship/residency at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo.

Dr. Mathieson's hobbies and interests include antiques and collectibles, restoration and research of antiques, swimming and outdoor activities. Dr. Mathieson and his wife Shannon , have a daughter named Quinn.
